    DirectX 9.0c problems

    I am having trouble installing directx 9.0c I have tried using the webbased and redistrubatle one to no avail it gets to the screen that says installing components and then just sits there and never does anything. I am running WinXP home with SP1. What am I doing wrong

    How long do you let it sit before canceling it ? I know I've had one or two Windows updates in the past that just sat there seemingly idle for upwards of 20 to 40 minutes until they started installing. Probably not a good thing.

    I hate when that happens to me. Most optional windows components I download directly instead off of Win Update.

    Though if you have tried that too I dont know why it would not work.
    Do you share your network? Could it be network slowdown?

    MoonMan was right it was just slow after about 30 minutes it suddenly finished please restart your computer. Thanks for the help Moneoa and MoonMan

    Your probably right. I got up at 4:45 this morning. Im sure I will regret it later but thats my problem :o) Im guessing you watched the big game last. WERE TOP OF THE WORLD
