    ROXIO CD - simple question

Hi guys, this isn't all about Roxio, I just want to know (for those of you who have a CD writer) when you right click - properties on your writer, does it say "Compact Disk" as it's Type? Shouldn't it say it's a writer?

I keep getting the "power calibration" error, which means there's problems between the media and drive, or so I think. I'm wondering if it's because it hasn't identified the writer properly.

I am trying Nero, to see if that works.

It shoud say just compact disk. Go to control panel, system, device manager, cdrom and check your settings and drivers there. Look at device status to see if its working properly.

It says "this device is working properly" Hmm.. maybe my writer is screwed, but I doubt it. I've tried different disks but nothing seems to work.

Here is a little bit of info on the power calibration message. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/101576 maybe it will help.
