Green, but get 1kbs if im lucky

I was using shadows experimental, had problems when connecting to my new isp (which doesnt block p2p). All torrents would be green, most will stay on 0 kb/s, 1 or 2 get to 1kb/s. Now i've tried using one torrent and leaving it going by itself overnight to no success. checked the torrent files, my mate was getting fast downloads on the same torrents. I am using mcaffee anti virus and windows firewall. I tried turning these off and nothing helps. Tried updating the client to bit tornado. Cant work out what it is, any ideas?

Be absolutely sure ALL FIREWALLS unless configured along with your BT client, are definately OFF.

Make sure that the torrents you are donwloading have "seeds" usually if the light goes green, everything claims to be fine.

Ive used bit torrent bit tornado and now Azereus, and all have worked at different speeds whatever the settings i`ve tried.
