Why does the RIAA do this?

I have always thought about this but Why does the RIAA take 1 program down at a time? There is really no way you can stop file sharing becouse you will close one program and another starts up. Like Napster. It seems when Napster started its troubles File sharing got even more popular then before , with more programs and users. Did they close Napster becouse they didn't kiss there a$s. Another Question I have is what program do you think the RIAA will take down next?

    One at time

In answer to your questions, I reckon it's just logic.

They only have so many people at the RIAA so they can't do more than one or two at a time.

Again, I think logically they'll go for the next biggest network.

They think FileSharing is damaging the industry so they'll go for the million user WinMx.

    Then you do your arms.

    Yes.

We'll all get braziers and stand outside of WalMart and go

They might not stop the programs, but some broadband companies are already charging for extra bandwidth usage! This isn't going to help file-sharing...

fasttrack is goin down next. 100+ million users, its the biggest, and it needs a central server. sharman could make FT open source, but i think they will let it go down rather than that. its a shame. FT kicks ass...

They already are going after more than 1 at a time

Their current suit has more than 1 defendant named. There are several in fact.
As for who's next - it probably will be WinMx, Edonkey or Gnutella

does it matter what they take down next ?? if i wanted to i could get any song, and realeased movie, any program, even download a book for god sakes.. and i have so many ways.. if FT goes down.. then there is edonkey.. or winmx... or bearshare.. or gnutella.. or FTP sites.. or so called illegal warez sites.. so fuck the RIAA :cross i would put up a fight before giving up my given right to download .. i believe the definition of a pirate is someone who for example buys a CD rips it onto there computer and makes it available for others to download... just because i download it .. they can't send me to jail... so whatever ppl are just fools who get scared of "jail for download " it's ridiculus
