You will not be able to get past it. It is one of the best systems for schools/colleges to block kids using up their connections on porn downloads.

Though if you wish to visit a site that has been blocked by websense you could try googles translation service to get round it most of the times. Thats what i did to visit zp and other forums.

Yeah, I know my school blocks some sites but what I do is just go to a differen't language of the site or a canadian version of the site if they offer it (such as eBay) Otherwise I don't think you can get around the web filters. However, you could always get your own internet access like wireless and just get a wirelss card for your laptop or PC (whatever you have) But you wouldn't get the free high speed internet then :-)

    Going off what Powerman said.

This is what I do: Buy a wireless router and hook it up to your own internet connection. Get 4 people to go in on the fee together and it's about 5 bucks a month.

I don't know if it's $5 a piece. I know Verizon is $79.99/month.. the last time I checked, but I'm sure you can get deals all around. I know in my town wireless internet is $39/month and if you can get a few people to get in on it that would be cheaper.

I believe you can setup login details or something for router or someway and that way if the people don't pay their monthly fee to you, well just cancel them! (I'm not sure if what I'm talking about is possible, I'm just guessing it is.)

Well at my school i found that there filter can't see SSL connections (ie, https:// sites) so use something like httport. If blocking works on keyword, accessing it that way will definatly solve that too, since the proxy can't see the data going through it.

Recently my school got around this problem by saying SSL connections can only occur on port 443, so what i did was set up a SOCKS server on port 443 and that worked wonders.

I don't know if it'll work with Websense, but it'd be pretty screwy if it could read data being exchanged via a HTTPS connections :S

Run CGI-Proxy via an SSL connection on a webserver of your choice. Connect to the web via the CGI proxy, and thats it.

Try apache, there's apache "kits" that come with CGI, PHP and sometimes a MySQL databse all in one.
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/

Finally, if you dont wanna do that work, you can try various anonymizing networks to forward connections through.

edit: the above will only work for your "getting to zeropaid" problem. The P2P problem, you'll need to go through a SOCKS proxy most likely. Set one up yourself or try and find a free one thats fast.

I've not used any of the last 3 links, but I have used CGI proxy, and it tends to work good.

    Thumbs up Websense

My High School uses Websense to block game sites, porn, etc....I have found out a good way to get out of it is to use a proxy server. You would go to internet options, go to connections, then LAN settings, and put a port and proxy in. Search on Google for a proxy site list, there are millions of free ones. :;)

The LAN suggestion works well unless you happen to only be a end user. The comp at my previous work location not only had Websense, but also had many Administrator lockdowns. At one point, I had the password(s), but then they changed the software or policies or whatever to where the password changed daily. Not even IT knew the password. They'd have to call in to the Helpdesk to get it. Ahh, the good old days...

... stumbled across this site the other day ... http://www.iamasissygirl.com .... you get to test your site (i needed to get into yahoo mail) and it worked for me so i paid the $30 for a year ($2.50/month) ... you get an online account ... all web based NO software to install ... NO settings to change ... seems to be working for 95% of sites ... i have had some issues with heavy JavaScript sites but thats about it ... looks like a winner ... they also offer http://www.i wearladiesunderwear.com:900 ... websense and st bernard are only looking on port 80 ... so they block http://www.whywasibanned.com in websense or st bernard port 900 will still work ... as long as their IP is not blocked at your location it should work just fine ... i was using megaproxy.com but this is BETTER and CHEAPER

they also offer a free service that works like tinyurl.com ... only you can custom name your link and EXPIRE your link ... neato
