One of our members Lion has run into a problem. He has a HP Pavillion 531w using a #5185-8221 motherboard, this is a propietary, and is no longer available from HP. Now can any of our knowledgeable members help him out in finding one of these boards?

He could watch for a base unit on ebay (try the P7515 model number as well) or telephone second hand computer dealers in his area and ask if they have one.

Problem solved, as the pc was just off warranty they are going to rebuild it for him at what I consider a reasonable price.
