Hi, I am trying to figure out a way for me and other members of a forum that I belong to, to be able to share files with each other. I do not have the money to operate a dc++ hub otherwise I would do that. Also we are using foldershare right now but not everyone likes it. I was wondering if there are any other P2P programs out there were you could set up a "community" for free? Any help is apprecciated, thank you for your time!
a dc hub is free......

what do you mean "not have the money"? the software is free, all it costs is time to set it upOriginally Posted by njdhockey
you can run a dc hub on the cheapest computer imaginable, and on dial up if you want to
why (and who) would someone that is new here pm people to find out about a program and how to use it?Originally Posted by janett999
they aren't asking for volunteers, they want advice
I don't see a problem with asking about how to go about setting it all up, but what do I know?
How's about them apples?
try amishare its a new prog but im not sure how well it would work for your application. I think foldershare is your best bet but as you said not everyone likes it.
I already knew the software is free and I have it. In fact I belong to a hub already. I just don't have the money to get a server to host it. I doubt everyone wants me to host it on 56k! Also I am just looking for advice not volunteers!
i think WASTE is the one for you..its really a private network that you can setup among yourselves...in fact you can have another profile if you want to setup a non exclusive(non members) WASTE mesh.
