    DC++ Problem

    Hey you all, I just installed DC++ 0.403 and for some reason, every time I try to connect to the public hub list it says "Download failed:HTTP1.1 404 Not Found (www.1stleg.com/publichublist.config) I get that message with every address I put in.I put the address that was given in the DC++ user facts and I also got that message.Im using Sygate pro and I allowed DC to connect to the net, Ive used Passive mode and active mode with no results, any help would be appreciated.

    Enter your ip address into the configuration screen. Then enter this for the hublist: http://www.freeweb.hu/pankeey/dc-hub...ubz.config.bz2

    Also see here for more lists: http://www.indx.f2s.com/lists.htm

    Thanks alot Miniver, the hub address you gave me kept giving me a disconnected warning, but I entered http://wza.digitalbrains.com/DC/hublist.bz2 and it came up with a list of hubs.Thanks once again, and I have to say. Zeropaid is by far one of the best online communitys I've ever taken a part of.I've bumped into some forums where I've asked questions and the only answer I get is "try the search function stupid n00bzorz' or that dumb "leet" talk they use. Thanks again!

    Trust me, anybody that uses excessive "1337" speak here will be promptly castrated.

    Many of the public hub lists go down without warning, so bookmark this page [ http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/fo...4d5f768d4333de ] or the one Miniver gave you. If one goes down, pick from the list and get a new one.

    Sounds like you're a little new to firewalls though, had any problems connecting to people?

    Try going into your settings and using this address for a public hub list:

    "connection refused by target machine" is an indication of addressing problems.

    Either you aren't getting out from your machine, meaning that there is a problem in sending and recieving data

    or the address is wrong, such as a space before or after the address line

    or the place you are trying to connect to is off line and can't receive it.

    Are you behind a firewall, like a university firewall? Its possible the program is being blocked. Also, did it ever work? (sounds like it hasn't).

    The HTTP Proxy should be empty. (Unless you're using one, which I doubt)
