    Exclamation problems whith .tar file

    II Hi Everybody II

I have a question for y'all. I downloaded this video from mIRC, it's 900+MB. I was really happy that it was finished downloading, but i had trouble with extracting the file in the winRAR archive. The Archive lookes like this (click on the hyperlink below)

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...belle/tdat.jpg

but when i open one of the 30 archives there is this .bin file that won't open. It says that some kind of volume is required. (click on the link below to view the picture)

I don't have a clue what to do next. Can somebody please help me??

Looks like a corrupt file to me.

I'm not much the IRC user, so I'm not sure that you could redownload just that .r25 file.

I'm also not sure if it is possible to recover it either.

I'm simply no help at all. I guess that happens.

Well the file it is asking for appeared to be there in that image you posted. So if it is not extracting it must be corrupt.

you might try extracting all the the files within the tar file into a folder and then clicking the first one.

hmm, did you extract all of the rar files from the tar file first? it might be that it couldnt find the file because it wasnt extracted... copy all of the rar files to a folder and then open one of them and extract the .bin.
if that fails try using the repair archive tool in winrar... open the corrupt one and press alt+r... might work...

So i opened op one archive and extracted the .cue and .bin file to the same map. The only thing i need to know now is what to do next...i have the .bin file(590 MB) in the same folder

you load the cue file into a app like nero and it will burn the bin file for you.

If you just want to view it on you computer, you can view a .bin file with VCD player.

Otherwise, you beed to burn it too a CD with nero or alcohol or something along that line.

Download IsoBuster and use it to extract the mpeg from the bin file...assuming it's a video you got...that way you can watch it without burning it first

    Thanks to everybody,

it worked...i could view the bin file, but that isobuster program really helped as well. I opened the "image"file in isobuster and then i extracted the .DAT file. I converted the dat file to mpg through tmpgenc and then I burned it on VCD with NERO

You guys have been a great help. TY once again
