Detailed Info on Cell Phones?

Question.

Does anyone know of a good centralized source or community (or any site, for that matter,) that has information on or about Cell Phones or cell phone technology?

For example, I would like a place with information on hardware, file formats for ringtones and games for particular companies and models, menu tricks, service plans and secrets, phone mods, sig chip details, hacks, documentation for specific models, etc.

I've spent some days searching for much of this stuff, but I mostly get garbage hack and scam sites not worth mentioning. Howstuffworks has good links to how the technology works on a wide scale, but now I'm looking for information that's a bit more specific and technical in nature. I don't have a cell phone, but I was intending to get one soon, and I wanted to educate myself on all the aspects. (In other words, I'm not just looking for dumbass hacks to get free phone time...unless you got some. (^_^))

Also: At this point, I will take any informtaion about any service or company. I am equally untrustworthy of all of them.
