What is a .iso file ?
Cheers
Ahh i get it i think. So ill need a special package to put it onto a cd. I wasnt really expecting it to be that as its a windows application. How do i get it to work after i download i dont really understand the process in that link.
If you use Nero, choose mount image, and just select the .iso file... The rest is magic. For other burning applications, I don't know...
Hmm it didnt work can anyone explain this log from nero ?
Try a different CD, and burn it at a slower rate than 24x. It might be either the CD at fault, or the file you downloaded which is messed up.
THe file extracted fine on my hard disk so does thispoint to cd prob
if you want to check Iso's and Bins (another cd image format)Originally Posted by Bazrazmataz
a good way is to get Alcohol 120% it makes a virtual cd drive you can mount isos and bins too and then it acts like you have the cd in a cd tray.
With nero all you need to do with those files is go to record on the top tool bar (no wizard)
Click and select burn image. If it flops out try to reduce your speed like someone else suggested.
Good luck!

Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.
Maybe it's a size error, if you use a 700Mb cd-r and the file you want to burn reaches that line (nero red line) or very close to it, it will start to burn but will give you an error at the end of the process. Got a 700 Mb cd-rw? try on this first and if it doesn't work, try again with another burning app.
If it still doesn't work, try a 800 or 900 mb cd-r.
nero will warn you before it starts if you have a cd that cant hold your file. instead of burning you might consider mounting the iso using deamon tools
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Like everyone else has said, don't burn it, mount it. You can use either alcohol 120%, or daemon tools. Either handles isos just fine. If it doesn't work, the iso is corrupt or has an incorrect extension.
