IP address blocking programs

are there any programs out there that truly block your IP so that you could never get in trouble while using filesharing programs?

well, its not a program that will block your ip address, but it will block unwanted ip addresses that could infect your computer or what not through filesharing programs...

go to http://www.methlabs.org/ and download peerguardian w/ a blocklist update

well there is peergaurdian and protowall these will block unwanted ip's.these programs do help but they are not gonna protect you 100% you can still get caught be some protection is better than none.make sure you always keep you blocklist updated with peergaurdidan.

you may use an anonymous proxy to route your connection. You can chain them up and it will give you protection but nothing is 100% safe. There is a drawback in that it will slow down your dl.

to be completely safe, you may need to block off the entire west coast, as well as the east coast ip addresses.. And any of all other third party bots.
