People,take the power from polititians

I`m from Serbia and this is what I think about America;
American people are really good people but American administration is very bad.Worsth is American Congress because it allows to anyone who has money to have influence on it.I will explain this on the example of American foreign policy;any ethnic loby in the world which has enough money,even if this money is earned by smuggling,woman slavery trading or any other criminal activity can buy itself certain congressman and have influence on american foreign policy.This is such discrimination to the poor ones.And there`s not even D of DEMOCRACY in it.Not to mention that there are only two political parties in America-some kind of political monopoly to so called "democrats" and so called "republicans".Many people in US believe that when my country was bombarded in 1998th-it helped to opposition to crush Slobodan Milosevic,but it infact only made him stronger and even make it more difficult on the opposition.Luckily,my people managed to overcome this difficult and crush Milosevic anyway but much harder and slower then it would be whitout America mingling its fingers into it.I doubt that outcome would be the same with Iraqi people because unlike Serbs,whish are afterall european nation with discutabile but certain cultural level,Iraqes are undeveloped even in social,cultural not to mention economic level of the most of it`s population-so US will only make Saddam even stronger in the eyes of its people.Now something about double standards(no need to mention double standards regarding International Criminal Court );American polititians claim they are against many dictators around the globe but infact they support many of them only if what they are doing is in their PERSONAL(not America`s but THEIRS) interess.There are many examples for this,but I will only describe the ones that are best familiar to me;In the 1997 when there were big street demonstrations agains Milosevic all over the Serbia and when it was only questioned will he lose his power today or the day after americans gave him finnansial injection by turning blank on one eye,letting some multinational corporations to "invest in telecom",infact to invest in police forces against Serbian people and to get percentage of Sebian tax payers telephone bills.Other example were double standards between Milosevic and Franjo Tudjman-Croatian mirror image of Milosevic,only because other one had protection of Vatican.
Like I said I believe that American society has greate liberall potentials (best example for that are Kevin Smith movies) but I believe that American political system needs some serious revision.Many Americans think that people around the world hate them but it`s not true,they are only against American polititians although there are radicals everywhere and there will only be more of them if America continues with it`s world domination policy.American society has enough problems of it`s one to solve - no need to teach lessons to other people.I would hate to see American empire crushing down in the future like it once happened to Roman empire in the old world for the same reason.It`s not to late.Not yet.

I would like to point out that the US is a Republic not a democracy, there are also numerous political parties republican and democrat are only the biggest ones.. Voters vote in representatives so if you dont like your congressmen then dont vote for them. The American Government is very different from some european counterparts and i think its mainly europeans lack of understanding how things are different that many people get the wrong ideal...

Also why should the american government tell other countries how to run things? If you dont like what multinational corporations are doing then change the laws in your own country.

No offense but if bosia didnt need the UN's help then why wasnt Milosevic "crushed" before the UN intervened instead of after... The United States was a part of the UN peace keeping force but it was not the only country..

Zzoran makes a very good point, its been known that the U.S. supports rebel groups to take out political leaders who participate in the drug trade, only the rebels do worse things such as, cruel and unusual punishment, no fair trial, the mistreatment of women or certain ethnic groups. All because a politician said that he would "Fight the War on Drugs" It is true that Americans need to wisen up to what our country does around the globe, however America does liberate many people from oppression and persecution and I do agree with much of what our country does. America is a good country and we mean too help people in need its just that sometimes we don't know the best way to do that. Also just as it its with any other country, there is corruption it just so happens America is more active than the others.

Thats what I think anyway.
