I don't think it's even possible for it to be down. So it's just you I am sure.

    What program are you using?

And ya its not possible for it to go down, since it is a decentralized network.

Well, technically someone could knock out all of the gwebcaches at once. If you didn't have a good local host cache, there would be no way for you to connect.

...without using specific host IPs, which could be acquired. It (they) can't go down - there can be no-one using them, but they can't 'go down' as such.

You don't happen to be using Shareaza, do you?

They are not down... but they probably functionally don't work for you. My suggestion: use another p2p program.
"There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17... I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice… The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd."

I have always connected to 2 UPs with Bearshare within seconds, would be nice to know what program the guy was using...

Im guessing Shareaza since be mentioned G2 as well, and the not connecting to Gnutella doesnt surprise me as the Gnutella support in Shareaza dropped off as soon as he went multi-network.

And if you are still having trouble check out Bearshare and Limewire, two cutting-edge Gnutella programs :)

Shareaza is slow connecting to G1, but G2 connects just fine. on Another note I do wonder what program Files2share is using?
