    Bandwidth

I dl Kazaa Lite Plus knowin that it wasnt a real K-Lite. I dl to test it then I got all Trojans and EXE Files that run everytime I restart the Computer. I uninstalled all of the exe's and still theirs alot that open. I ran Ad Aware and Anti Virus and it didint find it. Now IE runs slow and I think is using alot of bandwidth. I had to use the IE on a P2P. The Scam site is http://kazaaliteplus.net dont dl it.

Click Start>Run> type msconfig and hit enter. Go over to startup, and de-check anything that you know/have a clue that its offensive and you dont want it.

Click Ctrl>Alt>Delete or Ctrl>Shift>Esc (both of these you hold down) and close questionable exe files.

Run a trojan scanner (anti-viruses usually dont scan for trojans) as well as scanning with Spybot S&D and SpywareBlaster.
My current setup stats (like anyone cares...):

    ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard
    AMD 4400+ Dual-Core CPU
    Windows Vista (Ultimate 32bit)
2 GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS RAM
2x250 GB (in RAID 0) HDDs
EVGA GeForce 7950 GTX 512 MB
    Creative X-FI Fatal1ty XtremeGamer

    Also sporting a black MacBook
    Revision/Release 1
    Upgraded to 2GB RAM.

sounds like such a drag man...
get a process viewer. I like prcview http://www.prcview.com and then you can both identify what is running and also kill it so you can delete it. You will need to google for a list of known correct processes, but in the end you will learn and it's worth it.

write down the processes, check and see if they are correct and the ones not good , use your search to track them down on your computers hard drive and delete them.

write down what you see and let's say you see for example taskmon.exe...google it and you will find pages telling you what it is. you will likely find a page listing all the known good processes. I don't know one off hand. perhaps someone else can have that.

also a get a startup manager is cool to have. it tells you what is set to start up when you run windows.

one i like is startuprun http://nirsoft.mirrorz.com , that was where it was hosted last time i look.

this is like the way to go if you want to learn bro!

    peace

Agreed get Firefox it is by far the best browser out there that is not plagued with IE's holes & problems!

Try Trojan Hunter You have to pay for the whole version but all you need is to get the free full 30day trial just to clean your computer. It is by far the best trojan remover out there. That should do the trick and as stated make the switch to Firefox! Good luck man! :gj
