Linksys Router Config Trouble for DC++

    Hi

I am trying to setup port forwarding for my new linksys router

    Hears what i have done

i have opened port 1026 enabled TCP and UDP mapped this to LAN ip address
i then when into DC++ in active i put my WAN ip adress and port 1026

When i connect to a hub it goes red and it says connection timeout
I can connect in passive mode though

If anybody can help it would save me losing more sleep and sanity

    Many thanks

sounds like you've done everything correctly...

does it do that for all hubs?

DC++ uses different ports... 412 for hubs

    Also use ODC:

more info if it is any use m8

when i connect to the hubs i run netstat in the cmd prompt i c that all the hubs connect on a remote port of 411

to a local port in the range 2000 to 3205

    Not sure if this helps

in DC++ you can configure the port for incoming active connections to be whatever you want. if one is not specified, it uses random ports.

    hi Computer Genius

i have tried leaving it blank and when i do a search nothing comes back, also i have put in the port that is mapped on my router and still nothing comes back after a search

If i go into passive mode and search then search results are returned

Is active mode better than passive mode ??

Active mode is prefferable. In passive mode you cannot conect to other users in passive mode.
