    Yet another noob bittorrent question!

OK...I hope this is the last time I have to ask u guys for help, really starting to feel like an idiot!!!

I downloaded a movie from supernova.org and what I was given was a folder with the following content (c picture attached!!!)

The main file is obviously a bin file, and my guess is that I'd therefore have to possibly convert it to and iso and then burn it or somthing....!!!!??? i ain't sure!

    thanx for any help

Just mount it on a virtual drive or burn it with alcohol or deamon tools on a cd. The program will find the cue where all the info is stored and write the bin file. This is the image of the movie you downloaded. Find the option "Burn Image" and search in the specific folder. Hope this clears things up.

In order to mount it on a virtual drive e.g nero imagedrive, I'd first have to convert the bin into and iso file. I did this and what I ended up with was 2 files. 1 large dat. file and 1 small iso file. The iso. file contains a few folders (shown in the attachment)....

    What am i doin wrong?

Uh...no you can mount a cue file with Alcohol...or Daemon..doesn't matter what you use you can mount it....img files load up just fine too even though they aren't on the list.

Go to Mpegav and open the biggest dat file in the folder with WMP 6.4 or any other mpeg1 decoder app....

    Yes. :)

Just use 'open with' and open the biggest .dat file in that folder with WMP 6.4 and it will play.

It's a normal mpeg1 stream in VCD format.

No need to convert it to anything...as it's a;ready a standard mpeg1 VCD compliant stream. :) If anything you can copy the file to your HD and rename it to .mpeg or mpg and play it that way.

The reason it's in the format it's in is because someone made a VCD, you burn the stuff to a CD via any image burning application, and you can now play it on any DVD player that handles VCD's. It's a perk for those who don't own a DVDR drive but still wish to watch what they download on a normal TV. I personally can't stand VCD's...lol making them or using them...

Thx...u cleared up a couple of things for me...Just 1 last question.

By just renaming the file to .mpeg, it will by default open with windows media player and play as a normal video?

Just play/open the .bin or .cue file withVLC Media Player it will play pretty much anything you throw at it. This way do not need to screw around with mounting the images or anything like that.

Use vcdgear to extract the mpeg file from the vcd and reencode to divx5.1
