    New DC++ User

Pretty cool...just wished there was a multi-download feature (Is it possible?).

Anyway, I started a hub (Using PtokaX) and have a couple questions:

    1. Example:

    Hub 1 & Hub 2

Hub 1 is down, so when people try to connect to Hub 1, they automatically get redirected to Hub 2.

    2. Is there a script to allow OPs to increase slots for user?

    3. What scripts would you guys recommend?

    Help would be appreciated. :tilted

1: Only if Hub 2 has a script that can determine whether Hub 1 is down, and change the hostname of Hub 1 to point to Hub 2.

    2: No.

3: Learn how to write them...but until you've learned, look around here: http://board.univ-angers.fr/main.php

    Basicly following up this.

There is a script out there and im sure ptokax does this but the hub has to be running at the time of redirection.

    No as cpu said

As for scripts i would use Robocop (the best checker and also keeps people from faking/advertising/sharing sick files/double log ins and more.)

Yes it is, just use Reverse Connect. That's what I use.

it's on the first pane. put the address of the second hub in the "redirect address" field of the first hub.

when you want to redirect users to the second hub, the first hub has to be running and have a check in "redirect all users". you can't do that without the first hub running as rctempire mentioned.

if you want to redirect users to the second hub while the first hub is down, you would have to change the hostname of the first hub to point to the IP of the second hub either manually or through some complex script that may or may not be in existance (yet).

Robocop is THE script you want. This takes care off all other scripts really, so there is no need for other scripts, unless you want like a Trivia bot or record bots but these just take up space really. Also if you want PM me and ill check out your hub and help you set up so aspects of it.

    Hope you would like assistance.

Reverse Connect is the fastest dc client. But it can also get you banned from hubs.

I personally use rmDC++, I've never tried Reverse Connect, sounds like it's pretty good. If ya get kicked for using it though... sounds like the developers need to add client emulation so that it looks like a regular DC++ client.
    How's about them apples?
