VCD Problems

Christ i've had this problem like 100 times now. I download a movie in VCD formaet, i play the .dat file located in the mpegav folder and all i get is a speckly image. I use Media Player Classic (ace mega codec pack), videolan and everything else, anybody know my problem? Help!!!

Mount the image in drive emulation software. If you have autorun enabled and have set MPC to video default, you should get the option to play the file with MPC.

Also, codec packs are generally horrid pieces of crap.

Or you could use VcdGear to rip the mpeg out of the disc.

i never had a problem with the dvd's i buy.
