Cool Looking to start a new WASTE network

I am kinda new to WASTE, I used it a while back, but never got very into it. Now I want to start my own WASTE network, and I am looking for about 10-15 people who want to participate. To get in you have to have a good attitude and have good files to share. I'm not going to specify what type of files, just have a good selection. I also need at least one person with a domain or permanent IP address who can stay online 24/7, or pretty close to it. If you are interested just PM me or email me at [email protected] or you can reply here.

Well first-off.. I know you think this is fine and all.. and it is in some aspects.. but Waste is a network of trust. No offence, but I don't trust someone who just joined, and one of his first 3 posts asks 10-15 people to share their files. I just have to get to know someone before I trust them. Maybe others are different.

2nd - It technically wouldnt be your Waste net if your not the one hosting it. You said you need someone to do the hosting for you.

I think it would be safer for you, as well as others to just join a network with friends or well known associates. For all you know, one of your 10-15 people might be a member of BayTSP, the DOJ, or some other group.

    Good luck though.
My current setup stats (like anyone cares...):

    ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard
    AMD 4400+ Dual-Core CPU
    Windows Vista (Ultimate 32bit)
2 GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS RAM
2x250 GB (in RAID 0) HDDs
EVGA GeForce 7950 GTX 512 MB
    Creative X-FI Fatal1ty XtremeGamer

    Also sporting a black MacBook
    Revision/Release 1
    Upgraded to 2GB RAM.

The point was to create one with more or less strangers. I don't even ask that people share illegal files, just that they have some to share. I know it won't be my net. I said I would start it, and it doen't matter if I host it. I want the network to kinda be a test of trust among complete strangers. Ya, you risk that one of us be somebody spying on you, but you could meet 9-14 other people who can become good friends.

Somehow I have a hard time believing that authorized personell from an ISP or the DoJ is going to infiltrate a tiny little WASTE net, which isn't to say it isn't possible, just not probable... at all.

    I like WASTE.

DainBramaged makes a very good point, why the heck would they care? Do you really think that the RIAA cares about losing 15 costomers? If they did, they wouldn't put copyprotections on their products that can keep thousands from listening.

The funny thing is, if I would have suggested this, I probably would have gotten the same response.

Maybe I will. I'll PM you if I ever get around to it.

I'd love to get involved with a waste network. I have over 100GB of stuff I can share, but as most people say, I want to be in on one that I can trust, meaning that if any of you ZP regulars want my shared files (on DSL) on your WASTE network, lemme PM me or something.
    How's about them apples?

I'm interested. I'll be getting DSL this Wed. and I'll be willing to try it out. I've never been on Waste before. PM me if you're still looking for people. I have a little over 53GB of stuff on my second hard drive that I can share. All programs I share are for my backup purpose use only. No intention of breaking copyright laws.

Janet does have a point. We're talking about a private network on a public forum!!
