does anyone know of a floppy disk linux distro or seperate "OS" that contains just one thing: a ssh command. It can have more, i dont care, but I'm looking for a one/two-floppy os that will let me SSH into my shell account.
I have a realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC, which is generic, but the ONE distro I found that had ssh did not have this driver. AARRRGH!
BTW I was looking in google.com/dirhp comp>software>operating systems>linux>distrobutions>tiny>floppy sized.
i've written most of them to no avail.
Well, you'd need drivers too, I'm not sure which distro would have that, I'd ask around @ http://www.linuxquestions.org/

bootable CD not an option?

http://www.fdlinux.com/ <- FdLinux, is 2 floppies large, and has SSH. It also supports your network card (version 3.x).
http://www.fdlinux.com/networkcompat.html#Version3
http://www.knoppix.org/ <- its a bootable CD, and prolly supports your network card.
fdlinux if you gotta use a floppy, otherwise knoppix is nice cause its got alot of linux utils and a full GUI.

Unless you are the following people, I do not particularly wish to associate with you:

That's it for now. This list will be updated whenever I feel like it.
Another bootable CD that you might be interested in is P.H.L.A.K.

i usually just carry around knoppix.
to start it without X, type this at the boot prompt: knoppix 2 or for 2.6 kernel: knoppix26 2

I got the puppy linux disk for kicks, and it does work, but I need it for a relatively old Micron which has a CD drive, but I dont know the BIOS password (remember how they used to lock them until the warranty was up?) and it wont boot from CD, so I'm getting FDLinux.
