Question Is it time for Mute?

After seeing the recent article on the bill being passed on filesharing, I'm starting to think that this Mute program is better and better. Anonymous file sharing seems like it is at least the temporary answer to the RIAA's doing. Do you think that Mute could eventually be the new staple of file sharing? And has anyone tried it?

I think it's going places at least. I mean I heard they have transfer resumes that they are working on now and the network keeps getting better with each build. It will take a while to get any good though. The problem seems to be that the better and more secure a network is, the less effort they actually put into other features and making it user friendly. The end result is only a few people will try it and all the new people to file sharing will avoid it. I hope someday a balance is created.

With 296774 downloads so far, quite a few have tried it. The newest release is from April. There currently is no multisource capability.

Well, I really think Mute is gonna be an option in future, but right now it's not really a way of getting stuff. It doesn' find artists like Michael Jackson or Mariah Carey.....so......someday.

I saw someone was working on making this based on the Mute code.

Mute makes it harder to for investigators/detectives find your IP number. If I was American I would definately take precautions.

The authorities want to know everything about you they can. I suspet they don't want the best for you. They want to prosecute you and get their hands in your wallet.
