recently, my computer has been restarting everytime i download something using bittorrent. Whether it's 20 minutes into the download, or an hour or 2, my computer restarts. I unchecked the automatically restart option, and i get that blue screen error. Can someone help me out???
what operating systems do you have and computer specs?
I have xp home, P4, 256 MB ram, 1.7 Ghz, 40 GB hard drive.
Maybe try a different Bittorrent client?
Always an excellent idea. I always tell people with any computer problems to go ahead and defragment your hard drive(s). It may not solve the problem, although it may, but if it doesn't, it'll still make it faster.Originally Posted by ccc1005

I FIXED IT!! I bought a new ethernet card and my computer never restarts now!! *I rock*
awesome pable.. While back when i got dsl. I bought a Ethernet card.. and put it in the slot on the back of the pc.. It would not finish downloading the whole file, it would stop.. and i had to take out my modem and place the ethernet card there. Something about IRQ settings.
Hmm yes indeed, now i must say i respect the original bt client but; 'away with the old, on with the new' --> evolution, things develop, get better, and so since the start of bt came many other clients. Azureus, my current client aswell as my personal favorite. I like shareaza but its just too chunky for a BT client however i would like to see an 'update peers/sources' button like they have in 'right-click' in shareaza, that would be great and then it would deserve a 10/10 however now axureaus is 9.25/10
