Good post, though you can and should also submit this as a news article.
You can't triple stamp a double stamp.
doing it now....
I almost posted earlier on this, but I had to leave. I upset anyway, the auto installer screwed up. It tried to install to the desktop and that is of course not where I have the program installed to. It tried like 5 times, finally I gave up and went to the site and downloaded it.
The new version looks slighty better and the caching seems to be a nice additional feature. I definetly love this program.
Has anybody seen any reduction to speed? I tried only one torrent but it looked very reluctant to download fast. It looked like it would long until it reached high speeds.
I haven't actually noticed a speed difference, but I noticed a pretty significant bug. Perhaps it is happening to other people to?
What it does is kicks all windows out of focus every few minutes or so. Like I was just typing in this and it pulled my cursor off it so I had to click on the window again. I don't know why it does it and I think it might only do it when it is minimized in the task bar. I was watching a movie earlier and it kept kicking me out of full screen and I was typing to people in AIM with it pulling my cursor off every few minutes so I had to click on the window again. I opened it just to see if it does it when it's not in the taskbar and it didn't appear to do it, but then again I could be wrong.
At this point, is anyone else noticing this or is it just a problem with my copy?
Edit: It doesn't do it every single time. I think maybe it might just be the first time you minimize it, each time you open up the program. I'm not even sure if it's when it is in the taskbar. All I know is it happened 4 straight times while it was open. I kept running scans for viruses, trojans, and spyware. Then I would restart and all would be well. Then I would open up Azureus and it would do it again. I kept thinking I had a ghost in my computer. :)
Ask them at Azureus Forums about your problem. Maybe they already know it or somebody has posted a thread about it.Originally Posted by alliercollins
Haha, I'm too lazy to remember my login for sourceforge. I already read around the forums a bit earlier and didn't find anyone else with the problem. I am just going to sit back and wait for someone else to look like the idiot so I don't look like the only one with the problem.
I did however see someone had the same auto install problems. That system never worked right anyway. Virtually every copy of azureus has either not been able to auto install correctly or has outright said go to the site and get the file. :(
I believe I am one of those in the minority..Originally Posted by alliercollins
I had the latest CVS by the time 2.1.0.2 was out and autoupdater did everything right. It even connected to the torrent for the swt and restarted just fine. My only problem is the speed issue(if any).
I Tried using this last night. It ran fine for 2-3 hours and after that it just died and I couldn't re-activate it. ANyone else had this problem or know how to fix it ? In the alternative, can anyone recommend other Bit Torrent clients ? (Not abc - that sucked up 100 % of cpu and then crashed windows ) . :upside
