    Question Using a LAN and XP

    Does anybody know why WinMX might not work using a LAN setup or XP. I can connect and search, but not download, b/c everything times out, waiting for network reply usually. I cannot receive incoming TCP or UDP connections for some reason either, that could be messing me up, I just don't know. If you need more info to figure this out, just post and let me know, and I'll try to answer.

    make sure ur built-in XP firewall is disabled. that's all I can think of.

    ha ha ha... if its not your personal XP firewall it could be because of the server's firewall, if thats the case good luck fixing it. Here are some threads that you might find useful...
