    fake file infesting gnutella

i had been using gntullea for about 3 months has my primary source fir mp3s ad untill today i never came across a fake mp3 before today. I was downloading tracks from new album contraband and ran into many fakes. I also tried some other musicf iles and ran inro one other curupted file. fasttrack fake and curupted files started out small and now that is almost all there is i hate to see riaa do that to another networrk. Has anyone else noticed a increase in fakes lately?

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".

Bound to happen not that alot of people are using Multi Network Clients. I too never got a fake from Gnutilla. I suggest you Download Mp3 Shield and that should help the problem. Start getting use to Downloading your files 10-20 times on all p2p networks. I just may join one of the Russian Mp3 sites where you can Download an entire album for less then a buck.

yeah, what you expect when a network incorporates itself with kazaa fast track. Its called stupidity on the developing team. It should have people from fasttrack able to download from gnutella and not upload to them. I hate it and wish they would close fast track down for good.. At least til a better program can come along and verify the songs before being in a shared directory.

My suggestion, don't use Gnutella, it's not a very good network for d/lling files such as music!
