    Post Your Favorite Music Style

Please vote for your favorite style of music. You can even drop a post on what artist/bands you like.

    A few I like:
    Chicane - Chill Out/Trance
    Sasha & Digweed - Trance
A Perfect Circle - Alt. Rock
    Smashing Pumpkins - Rock
    RedLetterAgent - Brit Rock

I'd say mine is definetly metal/heavy rock, despite the fact that I listen to pretty much anything... I don't like the totally unappealing stuff, but I appreciate good guitars, good voices, and good music in general. To fall under the category, I like stuff like A Perfect Circle, Slipknot, Rage Against the Machine, etc...

One thing though, I think you should add a few more categories. Four doesn't seem like enough. What about Jazz, Country, or even an other category? For example, my friend Geoff only listens to Jazz, I don't know what he would pick from the choices.

I like indie rock and punk music derivatives as well as hip-hop/rap, but the more lyrical and less beat dependant varieties of that type.

I had the mods update this poll to include Country/Western, Rap/Hip Hop and R&B. I also removed the Classic Rock, so if you like that you could probably vote for Metal/Heavy Rock and leave a post saying you like classic rock.

I hate that genres exist for people to lump everything into.

According to the rules of the genres, I listen to mainly indie rock.

British folk music. Thick as a Brick, Battle of Evermore, John Barleycorn, From the Beginning,
Anything by Bert Jansch, and so on. British folk has far more tradition to draw on than its American
    counterpart.
