I seriously doubt you will be able to watch TV on the internet for free. The bandwidth cost for a company to stream TV programs would be horrendous. If you find any, let me know but I just don't see how it would be advantageous for a company to do this. I just always download any shows I miss from Suprnova.org

You will not be able to watch a cable channel etc etc from what I know of online. The easiest way to watch tv is in winamp's library under internet tv.
    www.winamp.com
Download winamp5, and look in the media library under internet tv. That's the only way I know of, that is any good.

Winamp has about 100+ stations available, but viewers are limited on each one. The good ones fill up fast!

www.wwitv.com - 800 internet channels from around the globe. You need Windows media player for some and Real player for some. Most channels are news, but youre bound to find a interesting channel.

There are currently counting Euro elections so it is given prominence.

Wait a few days and you will see the tv section back on.

    "
Due to excessive traffic during this period di-ve will during peak intervals be providing its users with a pared-down version of the regular edition of the website in order to handle this extraordinary load on its servers. This version will mainly concentrate on breaking-news coverage of the MEP/Local Council Elections but users will still be able to access these sections:"

That is why streaming technology is a bad idea. Emule and Bitorrent and video on demand via P2P networks is the best way to distribute large media files.

Streaming is good for live events, most live events are better covered by cable or broadcast television. If it is not live, on demand distribution via p2p is the only serious way to distribute media.
Is it not a feat sublime? Intellect hath conquered time.
