software piracy alert

Lets say that I dont have a firewall on my PC, since I use avast.

Can PCBoost really report my IP adress?

hello.i would be greatfull if someone could held with this pcboost piracy alert.
i've done everything that was writen in the forum (ad-aware,spyboot,registry cleaner,removed startup entry) and it seems that nothing left there.
i've made a rule in my firewall for pcboost.
every 30 sec an intruder alert from my firewall pop's up saying that pcboost is still trying to contact with the internet.

Does it really try to connect? :(
