Misfits Bar can be associated with the House Music scene for its one off parties, the Jazz scene for its Jazz nights, Alternative Cinema for its film nights, and also with all the various other sub-genres of music that it has focused on promoting in its six year history. Its constant aim however is to break the conventions of how we celebrate our time out.

For this reason Misfits Bar has come together with the British Council to put together an event that is guaranteed to please anyone from the armchair jazzo to the dance floor demon. In this event a fusion of classical cello, played by Matthew Barley, and quality electronica by DJ Bee (UK) will be brought together to create a club act not yet witnessed on the Maltese Islands. Starting off with chilled out beats and a classical sound, the performance will build up into a full-on dance floor event, weaving together trip-hop, jazz, house, classical and various electronica.

Apart from this club event inside Misfits Bar, Matthew Barley will also perform a Classical Cello performance at Bir Miftuh in support of Din l-art Helwa, and another event will be held at St. James Cavalier (contact British Council on 23 23 23 02 for more details).

Tickets are only available from Misfits Bar and cost Lm 4. Numbers are extremely limited and will be sold on a first come first served basis...so book early to avoid disapointment.
