    Good remote desktop software?

Can anyone recommend some good remote desktop software?
I like the remote connection in Xp pro but I dont have the will or want to upgrade home to pro. Unless of course I can get away with setting up home as a remote server but everything I have read says that remote connections are exclusive for Xp Pro.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Go download some trojans.

I am almost positive that someone else will be more than greatfull for the chance to use your computer, watch your surfing habbits, steal your information, and then delete it all for you at no extra cost.

Or you can download from Dameware.com, extremely good remote desktop software.

Have you tried downloading from Microsoft MSRDPCLIENT ?

I like Remote administrator, too bad it doesn't run on linux.famatech

vnc is good for cross platform.

Tight vnv is probably better, but for the newbs out there, I recommend RealVNC. It's a little bit easier to mess with:

That's the one I use. I've used it with 98SE and 2000. The viewer program will run without installing anything on a computer, can fit on a floppy (or CD, or USB Drive), and it's pretty easy to use. I've not used the server on XP, but I'm sure it's just as good as 2000.

Oh, the crowning thing about RealVNC is that it's free. Free is good.

Remote Administrator 2.1 or 2.2 is amazing.

Remote Administrator 3 should be coming out sometime this year, and will include a new 2k/XP video hook driver that improves performance (which is already amazing on 2.1, so I dunno how the hell they are gonna make it even better). Along with screen blanking, keyboard/mouse locking and voice and text chat coming with 3.0.

or if you're on XP just use remote desktop, which is the fastest; but both comps need XP.
