I, personally, think that Fear Factory did an outstanding job on their new album.
I noticed that they focused more on utillizing and expeirmenting with Burton's vocals more than they have in the past.
Also, the lay-out and the foundation of the of the rythms have greatly expanded from their previous albums; not only does it sound better, but is it faster and has a much more complicated architecture.
In my own personal opinion, Archetype is their masterpiece; and I was just curious to how the fans were responding to the "Evolution" of Fear Factory's "Revolution"...
I have to agree. This album is great. I'm sure we'll get our haters to show themselves (a la Slipknot) but they are just jealous of real talent. I have yet to be disappointed by Fear Factory.

Archetype is great but it would've been amazing if Dino's riffs were present. Christian even mocks Dino's style but can't match it. Nobody can write a metal riff like Dino. Also if you get a chance to see them in concert don't miss it. Nothing like going nuts to Edgecrusher live. Good to know that there's fellow Fear Factory fans on ZP.
having followed fear factory from the begining i will say that this album is okay but nothing really special "Nobody can write a metal riff like Dino" i kouldnt agree more
Fearfactory is on tour with Slipknot right now. They are the opening act.
meh
I would agee with that as well.. This album is good, but nothing great.. Ten years ago, Fear Facory were innovators. Now they're just rehashing what they've done in the past, without the same kind of impact. Better than their last couple of albums maybe, but certainly not in the same league as Demanufacture/SOANM.Originally Posted by gumdrop ink
I agree, there is not doubt that Dino can create amazing riffs, but I don't think the album
would have been as good if he had performed on it due to the fact that Dino always tried
changing things and presenting the music his way rather than the band as a whole.
Also, unfortunatly, I've not yet had the privilage of making an appearence at a Fear
Factory concert. It would be an experience of a lifetime seeing them perfom and moshing
and just going absolutly nuts to Edgecrusher...lol. The main reason I haven't yet is
due to the fact that they very seldom tour the area where I live; but given the chance they
do...you bet I'll be there! :shy
Oh, thats one of my favorite cds on the cd rack :D totally awsome.
Fear Factory have an excellent and original sound, u'll always recognize them!
