I'm new to p2p and I don't know how to use the games I've downloaded. Do I need to burn them to cds?
I hope they're freeware games ;-)
It depends what format they are in. What is/are the file extension(s) of the file(s)?
if they are in bin/cue format you will need to burn them to cds
most of the time you will download them as ISO which is a cd image, and you can burn the image to disk and play them. Some time they can be zip, rar.. and theres another compression format thats really good i cant think of. But you extract it to a folder.. it unzips it all.. you should see a serial number in there and a readme file. You click on .exe file thats in the folder and off you go =0)
Make sure you're running good antivirus software - i've dled numerous games, just to find they're fulled with viruses (this is especially the case if you're using a p2p app that connects to the FastTrack network, such as Kazaa or iMesh).
Check out www.grisoft.com for their free version of AVG Anti-Virus. It's not bad considering the price :)
Most games require a crack to run. They're usually on the CD after you burn the game but if not you can download them.
Use daemon tools for image files such as .img, .iso, .cue, .bin. Search for it on google. some games u have to right click the .nfo file and open it in notepad for installation directions. If you need anymore help just pm me.
