For users running NAV 2003 pro
ccapp.exe appears in system startup and appears to be a legit part of NAV Link
but spybot on examining the startup says that its a trojan and refers to symantec page.........which gives the following information Spybot Refers This
i have this ccapp.exe in startup, and if i remove it, then norton does not auto-start on boot, ccapp.exe also wants to gain access to internet, and for now i have blocked it (ZAP)........
so on1 side symatec says its an integral part of NAV 2003 Read Here
And on the other it says the ccapp.exe startup registry is made by a virus Read Here
i am kinda confused and i want to know should i allow it to access the internet or not?
I'd say if u have all the symptoms...like those other files, then I would have it removed (would probably be an additional ccApp.exe created).
I think you're fine...I have the same program, no worries.
well i dont have other files, and i think the ccapp is a legit NAV file......
i found the problem, its with spybot, its a bug in spybot and is discussed here on this other forum
