Windows Xp Service Pack 2 asks for activation

    Hello users,

Just to let you know that I just installed windows xp sp2 from winbeta and after rebooting it wont log me in, and keeps on asking to activate windows. So although the service pack has a lot to offer , u can miss out. Wont be any problem if u have a legal copy.

But the pirated ones and the keys made from keygen are not working.

There'll always be a way around that... But I won't need to worry about it myself, I still use Win2k.

I also tried installing Service Pack 2 on my computer that I bought from the store. So I have no fake version of XP. Anyways, after typing in my password to log on, I just see my background pic and that's it. Nothing comes up, I waited and waited forever, and nothing shows. No icons, nothing.

Anyways, it's not officially released so I will wait and try again. I ended up going back by pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE and opening a new task. I opened the system recovery program feature in XP and just restored it before the installation of service pack 2.

Fortunately I just changed my hard drive about two weeks ago and was running XP on new one and old one was for storage purposes, although I had my previous installations intact on old one. So I just swiped it again and now the new one is for storage purposes and old one is back on, until some solution is found.

Not to be smart but isn't it a beta copy? So couldn't that be the root of the problem?

And it seems like everytime they come out with a service pack they fix all of those pesky hacked versions...but soon enought they even come out.
