    Question Win98 Control Panel Problem

I have Windows 98 SE. I have a problem opening the Control Panel. Whenever I click on Start-->Settings-->Control Panel, the Control Panel Window opens up and then it says, Explorer Performed Illegal Operation When I click on close, everything stops responding(I mean the computer hangs). I am not able to Uninstall the programs I wish to. I do not want to reinstall Windows. Please Help!!!

    *lol
if the win98 install is over 1 year old and you diden't use any regcleaner and defragmentation tool YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS!
try to search for REGSEEKER and download it for free.
clean your registry and see if the problem goes.
the best thing would be a clean install of winXP

Or just try the bandaid approach, and install over the top.
