Although i listen to a lot of Ozzy, and AcDc, i also listen to a lot of country, from the newer stuff to some very old songs. One tune I can really reccommend to you is Dizzy Fingers, by Chet Atkins. The speed of the finger picking alone makes it worth a listen, not to take away from the composition of the tune, as it is classic Chet all the way. I hope you give it a listen.
Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be.
i like David allen coe =)
Must be really bored making a thread about one song. Bored like me replying to a thread from a bored guy about one song.
"Phuck the RIAA!" As long as real musicians get paid for live perfomances, that is fair. But to expect pay for recordings is a joke! That's just a way to avoid having to perform every day! LAZY!!! Music was around long before the RIAA hijacked it, charged us for it, and convinced us we could only get it through them! Pick up an instrument and learn to play!
Chet has always been one of country’s all time favorites along with Buck Owerns? And that Roy Dude oh Hee Haa. I was around 12 I think when I saw the three play together on the Hee Haa show. You might find this hard to believe but I think it was those guys that really influenced me to start playing guitar. Dang I wish I would get a hold of that show because I can still hear them playing right now.
Joe Satriani is another one of my top guitarist list very talented man. Then there is Steve Via that is another good guitarist. My most favorite Guitarist of all times is Eric Clapton.
those two are very good but what about Rhoads and Zakk Wylde?
was this thread supposed to titled "do you hate chet atkins?"
nothing to see here
:fire
Sorry Hunter but I'm not into country music so I don't know the guy.
:hole
I am a guitarist and a fingerpicker (not nose or butt) guitar! I love Chet Atkins...even though he is now gone, but his incredible music will live on. I, by the way, can't fingerpick that fast.
Chet Atkins was a guitarist's guitarist - he influnced both country players and rock and rollers.
