Our pleasure. I think these music forums are an obvious extension for a file-sharing portal. I also noticed that it wasn't suggested in any of the "How to Improve ZP" threads that we all worked so hard to contribute to. The categories do look familiar though :)

But on to the topic at hand. I find it interesting that most of the hot metal bands are coming out of the Scandinavian countries. Who would have figured?

Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, Opeth, Sakkuth, Psycroptic, Therion, all good stuff. Can't go past Iron Maiden for some old style.

Yes, I agree this so called "Nu-Metal" is mostly a bunch of noise pollution (with the exception of a few bands). Lately, I've been finding metal with talent in the European and Scandenavian regions. A few examples would be: Nightwish, Dimmu Borgir, and Arcturus; these bands actually have great talent. The music is very melodic, harmonic, and it is all very well composed, which is something in which the whole "Nu-Metal" movement has not accomplished.

Anyone looking for some decent metal should check out the debut album from Arsis (A celebration of guilt). Has to be some of the best metal I've heard for a while. Some pretty decent reviews also:
