Firewalled....your school has routers and firewalls that kill the speed.Originally Posted by Zerstorer

I told this to someone else... try to find an open port that may have been left out. Maybe they only blocked the default ports? (6881-6889) See if you can get a site to tell you which ports are open (I believe Norton does this) and use those.
Also, there's something called HTTP Tunnel... I dont know the specifics.. but you may want to look into this, it could help somewhat.
My current setup stats (like anyone cares...):
ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard
AMD 4400+ Dual-Core CPU
Windows Vista (Ultimate 32bit)
2 GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS RAM
2x250 GB (in RAID 0) HDDs
EVGA GeForce 7950 GTX 512 MB
Creative X-FI Fatal1ty XtremeGamer
Also sporting a black MacBook
Revision/Release 1
Upgraded to 2GB RAM.
yea the person who told me about bittorent said that my college cant block it. Maybe he is on crack because sometimes my tracker get errors and and sometimes i get to connecting to peers and thats it. I did a port scan to see what open ports were open. There was none that I saw, maybe I am doing it wrong. any idea what else i can do
You can get an account with http://www.torrentonline.com had the same problems at campus, so I got there torrent downloader service, works like a charm, their server downloads the torrent for you and you download it later on http (direct download). :gj
