is edonkeey2000 safe from the riaa or do i need to used another program to block them out ......any help would be nice.......thanks

no p2p is safe from the riaa...some are just safer than others...mainly due to lack of notoriety and therefore users...if you are really paranoid check out freenet, filetopia, waste, ants, or my favorite Mute expect much slower speeds though. direct connect has private hubs if you just want to connect to friends.

You can also use software like Peer Guardian or Protowall (http://methlabs.org/ and http://bluetack.co.uk/pw.html). They check all incoming and outgoing connections against a list of bad ip ranges (including known ips of the riaa, etc.) - if they find a match, it won't let the connection go through.

Granted, it's not 100% secure, but it's better then nothing.
