Crackerjacker don't fucking lecture me. If you knew this band (obviously you don't) you would appreciate the comment. It isn't a question of liking them or not, they have a certain status and notoriety in UK for anyone * a n y o n e * over 30. Nobody would expect to admit to owning their records or liking them without being laughed at and laughed with. I once used the name ramalamadingdong as an email address for subcscribing to dubious sites who might be collecting adresses. At the time it seemed merely amusing and I couldn't think where I got the name from but now I realise I was being subliminally controlled by musical satans in brothel creepers and bad suits.....just by watching Top of the Pops every Thursday as a child my mind had been turned.

It was a joke you dumbass. Jesus. you live several thousands of miles from where people know about this stuff and you have totally 100% missed the point because you don't have the cultural references to know anything about the bands, the music ,the culture, the way they are or were a kind of national institution here and strongly symbolise a very particular time for a lot over 30 people in UK (and apparently NZ....we only export the best music for you guys cos we love you *cough*)) and are also a kind of affectionately remembered piece of kitsch culture from our youth.
