Just quick one, is there a tool or workaround to get msn messenger to NOT use that foul internet explorer? Its not my default browser, yet it refuses to open anything but IE. Which wouldn't be much of a problem if I was the one using MSN, but my bumbling sister uses it, and then uses IE to get mail, and frankly I don't trust her with ie :P I could just block it altogether with my firewall ..... but then I'd just get rants. If firefox or opera opened instead of ie, thatd make my life a little easier.
Thanks
I'm asuming she uses msn messenger? you could try asking somewhere on
www.mess.be
or some other msn messenger forums, google is your friend.
Hmmm could she use another IM client instead? Or does she like the MSN 'features'?

Another great site to try is http://www.bigblueball.com It's not a porn site if you type it in exactly how I spelled it. The name is a bit misleading but it's a great Multi-Messenger resource. -Matt
try Gaim, it can connect to the MSN messenger network and isn't "teh crapzor" like msn messenger

I use trillian myself, and despite many attempts to get her to change her ways ... I would just never hear the end of it if msn messenger weren't installed. She just likes the "features". Shes one of those people that thinks its the superior client because all her friends do too. I'm sure you know the type. Thanks for the quick replies, I'll check out those sites :)
What's so wrong with MSN Messenger? Use it and MSGplus (www.msgplus.net) and you have urself a kickass client...I can't stand AIM and Yahoo.
I definatly say try and show her the light that is trillian. GAIM is nice, but if your not on a linux system, GTK just needs too many resourses, thats why I use trillian instead.
