Does anyone know of a direct connect client which is multi-source?
Look at the list...
The list's clients that have multi source downloading are either,
1. Not for Windows
2. Not in english
3. Not a good client
that's all there are--take them or leave them
multi sourcing would be a largely redundant feature in DC anyway. Its a good idea on a client where you can download the same file from several people all at once. On DC where many files are unique I dont see the point.
Besides, DC tends to be used by people who are online for long periods of time, giving you plenty opportunity to download from just one user. Plus being on the same hub alot you get to know the regulars, and get to know the best people to download from.
Multi sourcing might have some benefits, but these are likely to be outweighed by increased resource usage.
Wow. I had no idea there were this many Dc clients. Nice post & thanks.
NEW SIG COMING OCTOBER 2004!!
Ecellent post. I did not realize there were that many clients available.
I downloaded DC++ but quickly got rid of it. It seemed to have a good interface and there were plenty of hubs to connect to. The only thing that kind of freaked me out was the sound my computer made when I was downloading. It was weird. I've downloaded plenty through other filesharing programs and bit torrent, but never heard any sound coming from my computer like this. Has anyone else had that problem?
You people seem to think it's a good programm so I'm going to check it out again.
rmDC++ is an interesting alternative.
I very like rmDC++, got all best functions taken from other dc clients, GUI looks very nice, but there is a "shutdown computer" button, I've never used it, seems to be useless.
Apparently DC:PRO allows you to mulitsource.Originally Posted by IshareManyFilez
