Can anyone recommend a good, fast, free cd ripper?
In the end, it's the music that matters.
Windows media player if you don't mind WMA... iTunes for AAC.. Winamp I think does something, but I don't think the free version dose MP3... Burnatonce... etc. Look on google or sourceforge, there's plenty to pick from.
CDEx - The best there is. Rip to mp3, ogg, and others.

OMG, just dont even listen to those two up there.
Exact Audio Copy. You wanted the best, that is the best.

He said fast.
He said Good, fast and free, that describes CDEx. But anyways, this isnt something so great as to get into an argument. To each his own. Try 'em all, you judge them.

Okay, so I'm going to try CDex. Now I'm at the dl page and have a choice between a .zip file and a .exe file. Which is better and why?

dmc audio input is what i use.. IT rips fast =)
EAC (www.exactaudiocopy.de) with LAME is all you'll ever need.
I have dmc audio input but it takes like 30 min. to rip a disc. I hope this isn't considered fast.Originally Posted by shawners
