according to www.slyck.com , there are approximately 254,924 users on the MP2P network currently.

Is that good? I also used to use Piolet and found pretty good download speeds with quality MP3s but I want a network that supports all file types.

Of course, you can also search for all filetypes with Soulseek. Nothing against Piolet though, it's a good program for finding mp3s.

The community still exists at p2pforums.com. True its not quite as big as it was back when Pablo was promoting blubster, but several of the originals are still there, and many new faces as well. Its all for Piolet now though, since that's "pablo's client", and the others (blubster, rockitnet) are owned by other companies, but still coded by pablo.
