    0xc0000005 on RCDC++

    I get this alot on RC. After d/ling a file for a while this will show up in the progress bar. And I can no longer continue d/ling from that user. I do believe i ca no longer d/l from any user for that file. I have to delete the file and start over again. It really sucks when u get 75% of a file done and the file is a 4 gig file. Redownloading 3 gigs to get back to where u were just to have the same thing happen again. Is this a problem with the hashing? Is there anything i can do to fix this? Or is there a work around so i can still continue the d/l from where i left off. I hate haveing to d/l return of the king 7 times now. First disk was 2 times and the 2nd disk has been 5 times. Still not done. Great program when it works right.

    Anyone else get this error? Or anyone know why its happening? Or even how to stop it from happening? After getting about 1 gig of a 4 gig files again it happened. Its very annoying.

    Have you tried re-installing RCDC++? If that doesn't work, try a different DC client...

    Thats a software access violation code and its very common, it means that the threads stopped and cant continue doing what it was doing. Most programs are running many many threads of code at once, and at times, the .exe can no longer manage all of them due to memory constraints etc.

    Of course this is an over simplified explanation, but you get the idea im sure.

    What OS do you have, and how much RAM? What other softwares or P2P clients are going at the same time?

    close this option 'use file memory mapping', it does not work for large file beyond 3G
