    guys

I heard that if you run spybot and ad aware together it will mess up your machine because one thinks that the other is spyware. Does anyone use both programs and havent had any issues

Although I don't personally, I know people that do. I've also seen lots of members here reccommend using both as they sometimes miss files that the other one gets.
I'm not really malicious. I'm a nice guy.

I run both and have had no problems, as well a number of members here do the same.

Yup, I do the same. Spybot had an update yesterday too, and it found some new stuff adaware didn't pick up.

What a bunch of crap :]

Dont worry about your little gossip you hear over the internet, they both work together and both get other things the other ones miss.

No way to go wrong with that combo :D

    I run both.

Actually that "crap" Omyn was true, at one time. It was either Spybot had a false positive for ad-aware or vice versa. It was because of the backup files it made, and when searched within the zip, found the deleted adware/spyware.

But yes, both for me, and no problems!
My current setup stats (like anyone cares...):

    ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard
    AMD 4400+ Dual-Core CPU
    Windows Vista (Ultimate 32bit)
2 GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS RAM
2x250 GB (in RAID 0) HDDs
EVGA GeForce 7950 GTX 512 MB
    Creative X-FI Fatal1ty XtremeGamer

    Also sporting a black MacBook
    Revision/Release 1
    Upgraded to 2GB RAM.

I run both..typically AA, followed by SB. Never been a conflict yet.

No action may be brought under this title alleging infringement of copyright based on the noncommercial use by a consumer for making digital musical or analog musical recordings.

The recommendation from top security publications is to use the two together...Adware misses certain things that Spybot finds and vice versa...i use both and i also use Spysweeper

The only problems I have ever had with conflicting programs is Mcafee and Norton. I ran them together by accident and had to reinstall XP. As far as adaware and spybot they are compatible with each other.
