Hi all.....sorry, had no idea where to search, but i've downloaded a big chunk of a file on BT, but then discovered Shareaza, which seems to be a lot quicker, i've tried to copy the part download into the folder where i'm saving shareaza downloads and then downloading with shareaza, but having problems resuming...ie, not happening....is it possible?
thanks
No, I don't think that is possible. Sorry.Originally Posted by Fat Bob

I dunno why it wouldn't be possible because i switch BT clients on a hourly basis :P. Just make sure that the download folder is the same in all clients

Yeah, happened to me once after a week. I came close to wetting myself.
shareaza bt works differently than all other bt clients.. yes shareaza downloads fast but it has problems getting last <5% of the file.. I dont recommend shareaza for bt yet.
aight this happened once, the same problem as yours..
i started with orignal bt client but found shareaza was downloading quicker, i kept both downloads open, and shareaza started suddenly zipped thru downloading fast just like lan transfer, this happened coz prolly the tracker reffered my ip as peer, and hence both ip's being same transfer was really quick , after reaching the same %age as bt the download slowed down to normal..
hence i suggest keep both shareaza and bt download open
I have never noticed Shareaza slowing down toward the end as long as there were seeds to download from. The more sources, thefaster it downloads. When you get to where you have most of the file, it slows because the number of sources decreases. I have seen Shareaza reach 120% of my download speed- it will take all of the bandwidth it can get and then some. The cable company hates it so I love it. The only problem is I haven't been able to set it to web surf fast when it is downloading at top speed so I always end up exiting Shareaza while I web surf.
For me, I could never get Shareaza to work for BT. Not for ed2k for that matter, also.
I think it does have a small problem with disconnecting from too many peers/seeds before the actual download totally finishes. For instance, it disconnects from all but one seed to finish, and the seed may go offline, thus disconnecting you totally, and leaving you to have to re-connect to the tracker to get another download partner.
Good luck though.
