    Extremly slow download speeds.

Hello , i am with a lot of different BT clients really getting some slow DL speeds.
(between 1-4 k/bit) on a shared broadband connection on a school campus. I am not certain of my connection speed as some connection speed testers have very varying results (any reliable that are good?) Anyway, is there anyway to get my DL´s going faster?

you have to leave your downloads open long after they are done. Wait at least until you have shared 1.5 times what you have downloaded. Otherwise the trackers will give your ip less bandwidth.

Ok, thank you. I will, i guess this "new" system takes a while to get completely comfortable with.

Without admin privilages, there isn't much you can do.
That 1.5 rule is not true. I usually finish downloading with a 10-15% share ratio.
I'm not really malicious. I'm a nice guy.

Thank you! great guide, i am pretty sure that the school campus network is behind a hardware firewall that i would not have access to. Also i do no not think i have access to configure the router ( if there is one) is there anything to do beyond that
