    Unhappy SHarease is slow

Hi guys, im using shareaze to dl in college of a wireless network. The speed i get dl from a wensite is like 200kb/s but when i dl of shareaze i get only like 0.34kb/s. Whats the dillio? Is the college network blocking my speed or what?

p.s. I do not have xp firewall on.

Shareaza is crap if you ask me...i had 800 sources for a file and nothing started to download..it's a quee -city and you have to deal with it.

go find some other P2P prog out there that work better then Sharezacrap.

The wireless could also be the issue, speed decreases exponentionally as you get away from the hot spot and also with an increase in the number of people connected to that hot spot.

I would reccomend that you install a firewall for security reasons.

It's probably your college's firewall that's causing the problem. Shareaza has a major issue with firewalls :(

    what's the dillio?

    wow...

    read my sig.

and also: you are on p2p. websites have massive amounts of upload speed available. most people, at max, only have 512kbps available. that's the same as 64kB/s. but then there are modem users, who top out at 56kbps, or 7kB/s.

it's likely that whatever program you try, if it's a rare file, you are going to have to wait. deal with it.

    it

it could also be how many people on your network use shareaza. The more on a college network that use it, the slower the downloads are
